Nihondaira Yume Terrace (Japan Plateau Dream Lookout) is located at the Nihondaira (Japan Plateau) area in Shimizu-ward in the city of Shizuoka in Shizuoka Prefecture. The lookout was constructed by the work of Kengo Kuma & Associates.

Oshies were persons who provided accommodations for Mount Fuji worshipers (Fujiko) and climbers and taught the manners of climbing and prayed for their safe journey. Oshi houses have been located in the Oshi-town area in the upper Yoshida district in the city of Fujiyoshida, Yamanashi Prefecture. Fujiko was popular in the Edo period. Shirakami-Sanchi (mountain range) UNESCO World Heritage Property is a wilderness area covering one third of Shirakami mountain range with the largest remaining virgin beech forest in East Asia.
